4) Aly Cissokho
The Frenchman actually spent time at two clubs in England with Liverpool and Aston Villa but he did not impress in either spell. He played 15 games in the Reds’ title challenge during the 2013/14 season but youngster Jon Flanagan was often selected ahead of him.
At Villa, he lasted a year before being loaned out to Porto. He returned to play in the second half of the 2015/16 campaign when the Villans were relegated from the top flight.
