The 5 Teenagers Who Scored The Most Goals In Europe’s Top Five Leagues Last Season

After looking at the nominees for the European Golden Boy award last time out, this week we have decided to focus on the top-scoring teenage forwards in Europe.

Although there were no real standout youngsters who racked up tons of goals for their club, one of those who has made our top five did hit double figures.

We haven’t included the likes of Bukayo Saka, Hugo Ekitike and others who turned 20 during the season. This list comprises of footballers who are still 19 or younger.

Press the next page as we list the five top-scoring teenagers in Europe’s top five leagues last campaign.

5) Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich) – 5 League Goals

The German international came through Chelsea’s academy before returning to the country of his birth. He is quickly becoming a standout player for Bayern.

Last season, Musiala scored twice in his first four league games against Hertha Berlin and RB Leipzig, and although he didn’t really kick on in terms of his goalscoring, he still finished the campaign having made 29 Bundesliga appearances.

4) Yeremi Pino (Villarreal) – 6 Goals in 31 Games

The winger is certainly someone to look out for, having bagged six goals and provided four assists in 31 La Liga games. He generally plays off the right flank, although he can also be deployed on the left and down the middle.

Spain boss Jose Enrique gave Pino his international debut back in October, and he scored the first goal for his country in a 5-0 friendly win over Iceland earlier this year.

3) Sekou Mara (Bordeaux) – 6 Goals in 26 Games

The France Under 21 international ended the campaign like a house on fire, scoring five times in Bordeaux’s last seven Ligue matches, including a brace on the last day of the season against Stade Brestois.

Mara signed a new contract with his team back in March so he won’t be on the move any time soon but he is a player to keep an eye on when football returns in August.

2) Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen) –  7 Goals

It seems like every top Premier League club is tracking the young German’s progress, although he did suffer a serious knee injury back in March which will undoubtedly set him back somewhat.

Despite his season ending early, Wirtz still managed to rack up plenty of goals and assists, and it will be interesting to see how quickly he gets back up to speed when he returns to fitness next campaign.

1) Sepe Elye Wahi (Montpellier) 10 Goals

Not many will have heard about the Frenchman but he was consistently excellent for his club Montpellier from the beginning of December onwards until his final game in May.

While some may argue about the quality of Ligue One, Wahi’s performances will not have gone unnoticed by Premier League scouts.
