West Ham have had a €15m (£12.7m) bid turned down by Slavia Prague for midfielder Tomas Soucek, according to reports in the UK. The Czech club are said to be looking for €20m (£16.9m to sell the 24-year-old.
With the offer falling €5m (£4.2m) short of the asking price, Hammers supporters on Twitter are not optimistic about the club putting in an improved offer:

Soucek is just one of a number of midfield targets that have been linked with a move to the London Stadium. Lyon’s Pape Cheikh Diop and Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez are the latest names to be reportedly on the Irons’ list of targets before the transfer window closes.
Sampdoria’s Ronaldo Vieira, Stoke’s Joe Allen, Genk’s Sander Berge, Nantes’ Abdoulaye Toure and Udinese’s Seko Fofana have all reportedly been considered by West Ham as well.
It appears that the club have been scouring Europe for a new midfielder to strengthen David Moyes’ squad but as things stand, no deal is close.
