“That It Is Not True…” ExWHUemployee Speaks Out On West Ham’s Attempts To Secure 35M Transfer

West Ham have not agreed personal terms with Villareal winger Arnaut Danjuma, according to ExWHUemployee.

It had been reported in the English media on Sunday morning that the Netherlands international was closing in on a move to the London Stadium but Ex has spoken out to refute those claims:

“We have been in touch with people close to the player and the club to verify this information and we have been told that it is not true. The deal as it stands is currently off and this is a false report.”

Danjuma has also been linked with Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal this summer, but West Ham have been the team who have gone the furthest in terms of trying to get a deal done.

There were believed to have been conversations over a €35m bid, but there are conflicting reports as to why the transfer has stalled. Journalist Fabrizio Romano has said that the Hammers have failed to match Danjuma’s wage demands, while others have suggested there is a dispute among senior figures at the London club about whether the Dutchman should be signed.

Manager David Moyes is thought to have reservations about Danjuma, unlike other members of the recruitment team, and he is said to be backing a move for Jesse Lingard instead.
