TEN High Profile Premier League Stars Who Can All Leave For FREE At The End Of The Season

With the transfer window having closed last week, it left many clubs with players in their squad whose contracts are running down into their final season.

Usually, teams would look to offload them at knockdown prices but the financial impact of the global health crisis means many clubs are not able to find suitors for their contract rebels.

There are actually a large number of high-profile players who could leave on free transfers in June next year.

Press the next page as we list ten stars who look set to run down their current contracts.

Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea)

The German is said to be demanding around £200,000 a week to stay at Stamford Bridge but the Blues are reluctant to give him such a sizeable pay rise so he could leave when his contract expires in June.

Paul Pogba (Manchester United)

There is very little certainty regarding the Frenchman’s future. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are his likeliest destinations if he does opt to leave Old Trafford for the second time.

Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal)

The Frenchman was reportedly available for transfer in the summer but it looks as though he is now willing to run down his contract, with clubs in Spain and Italy both keen on him.

Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea)

The club captain is far from finished at the age of 32, and he is likely to be handed a short-term contract extension within the next few months.

Jesse Lingard (Manchester United)

The forward is believed to have rejected a new contract with the Red Devils, and he is expected to wait until January to see how often he features in the first team before making a final decision on his future.

Bernd Leno (Arsenal)

The Gunners’ decision to shell out £24m on Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale suggests that they already know that Leno will be leaving on a free transfer next year.

Andreas Christensen (Chelsea)

Much like with Azpilicueta, the expectation is that the Danish international will put pen to paper on a contract extension very soon. He has dislodged Thiago Silva in the starting lineup so he is likely committed to staying with the Blues.

Eddie Nketiah (Arsenal)

The 22-year-old was linked with Crystal Palace and West Ham in the summer, but there is an expectation that a move to Germany could be on the cards, with Bayer Leverkusen thought to be keen on the striker.

James Tarkowski (Burnley)

The England international was the subject of bids from West Ham last year, but the Hammers have now secured the services of Kurt Zouma. It remains to be seen where the Tarkowski will end up.

Sean Longstaff (Newcastle)

Manchester United were once quoted £50m to sign the midfielder but his development has stalled in recent seasons and he could leave on a free next summer.
