Not many will be surprised by the three clubs predicted to finish in the relegation places. Both Luton Town and Sheffield United have looked out of their depth since being promoted to the top flight.
Everton, meanwhile, have continued from where they left off last season, struggling to score goals and letting in too many.
The prospect of an imminent takeover by American owners could, however, change the Toffees’ fortunes, so Opta’s prediction could still change.
