REPORT: Valencia Line Up January Swoop For West Ham Marksman

Valencia are interested in signing West Ham striker Javier Hernandez, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The Hammers forward is currently out with a hamstring strain, but the 30-year-old had managed to break into the first-team under manager Manuel Pellegrini prior to his injury.

Valencia are said to be keen to sign Hernandez as they believe he could settle into La Liga right away due to being a native Spanish speaker.

Still, before they make a move for the Mexican international, they will have to offload both Kevin Gameiro and Michy Batshuayi. The latter is on loan from Chelsea, and they would have to come to agreement with the Blues to cut his season-long loan short.

Even then, it is not known whether West Ham would entertain any offers for Hernandez. The striker scored three goals in five Premier League starts before missing the last two matches against Southampton and Burnley.
