West Ham midfielder Declan Rice was one of the many players in the Hammers side who put in a good displays against Arsenal despite coming out on the losing side at the weekend.
The Hammers star took to Twitter after the game to express his disappointment but he felt there were some good things to take from the performance:
Gutted. Deserved something from that today! Plenty of positives to take from it. Fans were top class again? We keep pushing @WestHam ?

In response, supporters were praising Rice for his display and his recent form:
Come on son you can get us out of this. Our leader!

Man of the Match by a long way today.
But can you do as a favour and make sure there is plenty of shooting practice for your fellow players this week as some of those missed chances were shocking. Plus also tell Moyes to be more proactive on substitution! #gutted #WHUFC— PMarshall (@pbm1968) 7 March 2020
Exactly the same again but forward players just need to be clinical. On another day! ⚒️

Great performance Declan we don't care if you lose as long as you give it ago and don't sit back, I honestly believe if a certain player was benched we would of won today, not gonna say who just hope he does the right thing and says to the gov he shouldn't have a guaranteed start

You were heroic in the second half, Dec. All the lads should be proud of the effort you put in. Shame there was no reward at the end, deserved all three and should have got the point.

Of course, with the club’s top-flight status in peril, good performances are simply not enough, and if they are to get away from the relegation zone, they will need to turn these types of displays into results very soon.
West Ham are currently only out of the dropzone on goal difference, level on points with both Watford and Bournemouth. A win against Wolves on Sunday would be a big boost, but with the Midlands club having ambitions of qualifying for Europe, it’s going to be a tough contest.
