Ashley Young

Former Manchester United star Ashley Young is now 37 years old – he isn’t quite as young as he used to be (we’re sorry for that one).

A determined player, as he began to lose his pace, he was reinvented in a deeper role – he excelled in this new position, as it allowed him more space to whip in his deadly crosses.

Young began his career as a winger with Watford before leaving for Aston Villa. Having begun as a winger, he has played in many different positions, including left-back and even as a centre-forward.

Young has returned to Aston Villa and is the club captain there this season which shows the respect he has amongst his peers. Let’s not forget he won a Serie A title with Inter Milan during his spell in Italy under former Chelsea and Spurs manager Antonio Conte.
