‘Noooooo’ ‘Times Up’ ‘Sorry But He’s Still Gotta Go For Me’ Fans React As Key West Ham Figure Speaks Out On His Future

West Ham manager David Moyes says he has every intention of remaining at the London Stadium next season.

Speaking after the Hammers made it through to the Europa Conference League semi-finals, Moyes said he is getting on with his work and mapping out plans beyond May:

“I’m planning for next season. I’ve got no intention of leaving. I’m getting on with my job, doing everything that I do and obviously, my head’s down and focused on how I’m getting myself more points at the moment, that’s the only thing I can think about.”

Fans on Twitter are not particularly happy that Moyes intends to stay, with many still adamant that he should leave this summer:

There has been a lot of speculation in the press about potential replacements for Moyes in recent days. Lille boss Paulo Fonseca has been heavily linked, while the likes of ex-Chelsea manager Graham Potter and former Leicester head coach Brendan Rodgers have also been mentioned as possible candidates.

If West Ham do go on to win the Europa Conference League, and they maintain their Premier League status, it would be a surprise if the club then decided to dispense with Moyes’ services.

However, considering how poorly they have performed in the league despite heavy investment in the squad, there is still a possibility that Moyes will be dismissed from his post.
