Nicholas Names Two West Ham Stars, Worth A Combined £81m, Who Should Be Benched By Pellegrini

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas believes Felipe Anderson should join Sebastien Haller on the bench when West Ham face Wolves at Molineux tomorrow night.

Anderson started the 1-0 win against Chelsea on Saturday but was subbed after 71 minutes, and Nicholas thinks both the Brazilian and his £45m rated teammate should not be picked by manager Manuel Pellegrini:

“Sebastien Haller has gone cold and Felipe Anderson has been poor. You have to take them out of the team, work with them on the basics, and build them up again.”

Anderson signed from Lazio for £36m in the summer of 2018, and after a good first year, his standards have dropped significantly this campaign.

The 26-year-old has not scored this season, with his last assist coming in the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth all the way back in September.

Anderson could well be replaced by Andriy Yarmolenko in the side for the game against Wolves. The Ukrainian would be the most logical replacement, although it must be said that the winger has also not been in great form recently.
