West Ham are considering selling Sebastien Haller in order to free up funds to sign other players, according to the Daily Express. The Frenchman only joined from Eintracht Frankfurt for £45m last summer but he has struggled for form since his arrival in England.
Hammers boss David Moyes is said to be eyeing a replacement, with Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi believed to be on the club’s radar, but supporters on Twitter have questioned the accuracy of the story:
Must be having a laugh surely ?

Rubbish. No way we would sell Haller who knows where the net is and is happy at the club for Michy who has outwardly said he doesn’t want to come to West Ham. Michy needs to go back to Belgium. That’s his level

The Express also say Chelsea will demand £40m for Batshuayi, which is an outlandish figure considering both the state of the transfer market and the Belgian’s failure to impress during his time in England.
Although Haller’s sale cannot be ruled out considering West Ham’s financial situation, the likelihood of them paying a significant sum for someone like Batshuayi is highly unlikely. It is certainly wise to take this rumour with a very large pinch of salt.
