‘He’s Got A Bit About Him’ Pundit Praises West Ham United Star On TalkSPORT

TalkSPORT pundit and former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino had plenty of nice things to say about West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen in a recent interview.

He declared that Bowen is ‘one of the most underrated wide men in the country’ and that he ‘loves his durability and hunger’ in his glowing review of the player.

When West Ham took on Luton Town on Friday evening, Bowen was the star of the show. He opened the scoring for the Hammers on the 37th minute mark and went on to be a constant thorn in the Hatters’ side over the course of the match.

Is Jarrod Bowen the best player at West Ham this season? We’ll discuss that a little later – but first, let’s hear what Tony Cascarino had to say about the 26-year-old.

What did Tony Cascarino say on TalkSPORT?

On TalkSPORT, Cascarino said [via West Ham Central on Twitter]: “Three Premier League away games, three goals. And, they missed him last year, he didn’t start last season particularly well. I love his durability and his hunger.

“He’s strong, not the tallest but he’s got a bit about him. He’s playing top football at the moment. I think he’s one of the most underrated wide men in the country.”

Is Jarrod Bowen the best player in the West Ham United squad?

With the departure of Declan Rice, the jury is still out as to who the best player at West Ham currently is – but Bowen is certainly within the top three.

Ultimately, there are several players who you could pick for the title of ‘best West Ham player’ – Michail Antonio, despite his advancing age, is still a colossus up top and leads the line extremely well.

Lucas Paqueta has proven once again that he is a genius in midfield in the game against Luton on Friday evening – he can pick out passes and carry the ball forward with regularity.

Additionally, some of the Hammers’ new signings have also been very impressive. Edson Alvarez has stood out – he has filled the gap left by Rice excellently. Not only is he defensively astute, but his technical ability is also brilliant.
