Italian Side Lining Up Summer Swoop For West Ham Ace Who Has Been Told He Can Leave

Fiorentina are weighing up a move for West Ham striker Javier Hernandez, according to reports in Italy.

The Viola are said to be considering two possible targets with Boca Juniors forward Dario Benedetto and the Mexican both on the Serie A club’s shortlist.

Hernandez could be set to leave the Hammers this summer with the forward having less than twelve months left on his contract at the London Stadium.

The 31-year-old has revealed in recent weeks that West Ham will offload him if he can find a new club after two seasons in England.

Hernandez was signed from Bayer Leverkusen for £16m in July 2017, but he has only scored 16 goals in 61 appearances for the Irons.

If the Mexican international is sold, manager Manuel Pellegrini will be down to the bare bones up front with Andy Carroll, Lucas Perez and Marko Arnautovic all having left the club in the past month.
