Ian Wright Makes Bold Prediction About West Ham’s Top Four Chances

Ex-West Ham striker Ian Wright believes his former club have every chance of finishing in the top four this season if they can sustain their current form.

David Moyes’ side recorded their eleventh win of the campaign against Aston Villa on Wednesday night, moving them up to fifth in the table, just two points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.

Wright is adamant that Moyes’ experience, combined with the consistency they have shown in terms of results, means they are in contention to finish in the Champions League places:

“They can challenge. What they can do is take each game as they come. David Moyes is experienced enough to know that they can probably beat most teams, if they are playing like they’re playing.”

“They absolutely can challenge because you cannot look at any team other than Manchester City and say they’ll be in there as well. West Ham have got a good chance of doing it.”

It is a bold claim by Wright, considering the likes of Leicester, Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Spurs, Everton and even Arsenal could all have a chance of a top-four finish.

It is so congested that there are only nine points separating fourth place and tenth in the table. A lot could happen over the next 18 games and it will be exciting to see where West Ham will end up.
