“I Try To Watch Him And Learn…” Enzo Fernandez Claims He’s Taking Inspiration From West Ham Star

New Chelsea signing Enzo Fernandez has revealed that he is watching West Ham midfielder Declan Rice to improve aspects of his game.

The Argentinian international says he does like to take inspiration from other players and he has been picking up a few tips and tricks by viewing clips of the Hammers captain in action:

“I try to watch as much football and learn a little bit from everyone. I like Rice of England, I try to watch him and learn.”

Considering Fernandez is already a World Cup winner and has cost Chelsea a British transfer record fee, some might be surprised to hear that he has been watching Rice.

However, the England international has been playing at a very high level for a number of years, and he could well be sold for an equally high price come the end of the season.

Arsenal and Manchester United (as well as Chelsea) are keeping an eye on Rice. Irons boss David Moyes has, however, re-emphasised in recent days that the midfielder won’t be allowed to leave the London Stadium unless an astronomical offer is made.
