Hammers agree €40 million fee for Serie A star

West Ham have agreed a €40 million euro fee for the transfer of Lazio star Felipe Anderson.

The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium in recent weeks, however the proposed switch stalled over disagreements involving the fee for the 25-year-old.

Reports from Italy earlier this week claimed a deal was almost done for €30m and Anderson would be on his way to East London, however it was later claimed Lazio would hold out for an extra €4 million euros for Anderson.

It was then said the Serie A side wanted an extra £4.4 million in add-ons, and also wanted to negotiate a sell-on clause should the Hammers part ways with the winger in the future.

Gazzetta dello Sport are now reporting that an agreement for the player has finally been reached by West Ham and Lazio, with the fee set to be in the region of 40 million euros.

Anderson has been with Lazio since moving from Santos in 2013, making 117 appearances and scoring 34 goals, eight of which came last season as I Biancocelesti narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Champions League.
