Supporters were clamouring for West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen to make his full debut against Southampton yesterday, and manager David Moyes duly gave the £22m January signing a place in the starting eleven.
The 23-year-old did not take long to make an impact on his first start for his new club by scoring the opening goal of the 3-1 win after just 15 minutes.
Fans on Twitter were suitably impressed by Bowen’s goal and his performance in general:
Superb Jarrod. All round top drawer performance.

Bowen was not the only player in the frontline to impress with Michail Antonio, Sebastien Haller and Pablo Fornals all making telling contributions.
Hopefully, this more ambitious approach from Moyes will be enough to get them out of trouble. The three points has moved them out of the relegation zone on goal difference, but with games coming up against Arsenal, Wolves, Spurs and Chelsea, they are certainly not out of the woods quite yet.
