West Ham have made an approach for Roma manager Jose Mourinho, according to reports in the Italian media.
The former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham boss is seemingly being considered as a potential replacement for David Moyes.
Fans on Twitter are very much split on whether hiring Mourinho is a realistic possibility, with many not expecting the 60-year-old to leave Rome for the London Stadium:
I’d take this to be honest

I think Mourinho would be good for us. He doesn't play boring he plays to players strengths. But defence is where any good side is built from. Can attract players and would raise club profile. Wouldn't be worrying about relegation either. I like the idea of Carrick as well

I’m gonna go ahead and say this is absolutely not happening as much as I would love it

From the sound of things, it doesn’t appear likely at the moment that Mourinho will leave Roma to return to England.
Moyes remains in the hot seat for now, with the current Hammers boss having the backing of the board, but there are growing doubts about how much longer he will remain in charge.
There have been reports in recent days that senior players are unhappy with his negative tactics and, if the dressing room does turn on him, it could be the final nail in the coffin.
