£22m Rated Former Striker Issues Sensational Come And Get Me Plea To West Ham

Former West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic says he is interested in returning to the Hammers if the London club want him back.

The Austrian international was sold to Shanghai SIPG for £22m last summer after agitating for a move away from the club but, commenting on Arthur Masuaku’s Instagram Live yesterday, he said:

“Tell them that [if] West Ham need me, I come bro, no worries.”

Arnautovic is very much a divisive figure among the fanbase following his acrimonious departure from the club. Some believe a player of his ability should be forgiven and welcomed back, while others don’t think his attitude is right for the club.

There has been a change in manager, though, since the 30-year-old left last July, with David Moyes having returned to the club.

The Scot is credited for getting the most out of Arnautovic during his first spell in charge, so it will be interesting to see whether he would consider bringing him back to the London Stadium.
