West Ham are interested in signing Ipswich Town winger Omari Hutchinson, according to reports.
The Hammers are looking to add some pace and unpredictability to their attack and they have identified the England Under-21 international as an option.
Hutchinson only moved to the Tractor Boys on a permanent basis from Chelsea last summer for £20m, but following their relegation to the Championship, they are said to be open to selling the player.
Caught Offside claim that £30m could well be enough to secure the 21-year-old’s services, but there are several other Premier League teams interested in purchasing him as well.
Who will rival West Ham for the winger’s signature?
It is believed that newly promoted sides Leeds and Burnley would like to buy Hutchinson, while Aston Villa are also thought to be among his suitors.
The Villans are likely to be the Irons’ main rivals as they could potentially offer the forward Champions League football next season if they manage to finish in the top five.
Hutchinson has been hailed as a ‘baller’
The youngster has actually been given plenty of compliments over the years. He was tipped for big things during his time in Arsenal‘s Hale End Academy.
One of the greatest players of all time Pele praised Hutchinson during a youth tournament at the age of 12. He would continue his rise up through the ranks at the Gunners before moving to London rivals Chelsea in 2022.
Reece James, who is now club captain, labelled him a “balla” following a friendly against Villa later that year. While Hutchinson was unable to establish himself at Stamford Bridge, he has done enough at Ipswich to generate interest from a whole host of other Premier League sides, including West Ham.
