West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus could be on the way to Saudi Arabia this summer, according to ExWHUEmployee.
Writing on the West Ham Way Patreon (quotes via their website), Ex said that Al-Nassr are currently “frontrunners” for the Ghanaian international’s signature:
“It appears that the club are prepared to cash in on Mo Kudus following a disappointing season. There are some European teams interested but the strongest interest seems to be coming from Saudi Arabia, with Al Nassr in particular the frontrunners.”
“Saudi clubs have been monitoring Kudus for a long time now and it seems will make their move in the summer. If we get what is the release clause I think the deal would suit both parties.”
Will Al-Nassr trigger Kudus’s release clause?
It is believed that Saudi clubs have to pay €120m (£102.5m) in order to match the forward’s buyout fee and there are no indications at the moment that an offer will be tabled close to that figure.
Recent reports suggest that Al-Nassr are hoping to agree a deal closer to €100m (£85m), which is still a figure that you would think the Hammers would gladly accept, considering the season Kudus has had.
The 24-year-old has only scored 3 goals and contributed 3 assists in 30 appearances for the London club so far this campaign.
Which other teams are interested in the West Ham star?
As Ex points out, there are several European clubs who would also like to sign Kudus. The likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have been credited with an interest in recent weeks.
However, due to the Ghanaian’s poor form, it seems highly unlikely that they would come close to matching any bid from Al-Nassr.
Considering the money involved, the Irons will be keeping their fingers crossed that Kudus will accept a move to the Middle East.
