West Ham target Manor Solomon’s departure from Tottenham is “expected to gain momentum quickly” with a deal likely to be “agreed” within “days” rather than weeks, according to reports.

The Independent claim that the Hammers are currently “leading the race” for the Israeli international, but they face competition from at least one Premier League club.

Hull City have emerged as potential suitors for Solomon, which could complicate ongoing talks between Nuno Espirito Santo’s side and Spurs.

The North London club are said to be holding out for a permanent deal with offers in the region of £20m set to be entertained.

Solomon’s agent has spoken out about the player’s future

The winger’s representative Gilad Katsav was recently asked about the possibility of a transfer, and he replied:

“Next season? I don’t like to speculate. We have over a month left in the transfer window. What I will say is that the goal will be a permanent transfer, not a loan.”

Katsav was then questioned specifically about Solomon joining West Ham, and he was rather less forthcoming:

“Theres a lot of talk, but if anything happens, you’ll know and we’ll keep you updated.”

West Ham have held talks about signing another winger

While Solomon appears to be the top target for Nuno and Director of Player Recruitment Nils Koppen, reports have also suggested that the Irons have contacted Sunderland about Simon Adingra.

They were hoping to sign the Ivorian international on loan, but it is believed that the Black Cats would prefer to sell the player for £30m.

Solomon is on the market for a much lower price than Adingra, so it is not a surprise that a move for the 27-year-old has now been prioritised.
