‘Has To Be £50M+’ ‘Are They TRYING To Get Themselves Relegated?’ Fans React As Man United Are Linked With West Ham Loanee

Manchester United are considering making an approach for West Ham defender Nayef Aguerd at the end of the season, according to reports in Spain.

Rumour-mongers Fichajes.net suggest that the Red Devils could battle Real Sociedad for the Moroccan’s signature.

Despite paying £30m for Aguerd a few years ago, the Hammers opted to loan out the centre-back to Real Sociedad at the start of this season. Most fans on X think the club should try and get as much as they can for him, especially if the Red Devils get involved:

Aguerd has impressed in Spain

The 28-year-old has been part of a defence that has conceded just 27 goals in 26 league matches this season. It is, therefore, not a surprise that Real Sociedad are keen on keeping hold of him.

Playing in La Liga is, however, a lot different to playing in the Premier League, and it is fair to say that Aguerd did not impress to anywhere near the same extent during his first two seasons at the London Stadium, making several errors.

West Ham have lined up a potential replacement

The Irons’ interest in Genoa’s Koni De Winter has been confirmed by reliable sources so they could use the proceeds from Aguerd’s sale in order to finance a move for the Belgian international.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will actually make their own bid for Aguerd but the more teams vying for his signature, the higher the fee the Irons are likely to receive.
