West Ham are stepping up their interest in Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters, according to ExWHUEmployee.
Writing on the West Ham Way Patreon (quotes via their website), the insider source said that the 27-year-old could add depth in both fullback positions:
“We are very keen on Kyle Walker-Peters. The fact he can operate as both a right & left back is very appealing, especially with both Vladimir Coufal and Emerson’s futures at the club looking doubtful.”
Supporters on X are split on whether Walker-Peters would be a good addition to the squad:

I really rate him. Although it’s not difficult to stand out in that Southampton team.

Jumble Sale FC. Fine if they are genuinely who Potter wants, but it’s starting to already look like Sullivan is cheaping out .

Walker-Peters is attracting plenty of interest
The England international is out of contract at the end of the season and it is widely believed that he will leave the Saints on a free.
Inevitably, that will mean the Hammers will have competition for Walker-Peters’ services. His former club Tottenham and Fulham are said to be keeping tabs on his situation, and they could table their own offers for the player this summer.
West Ham are expected to recruit more free agents
The Irons don’t have any room for manoeuvre financially due to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules which likely means that more than one player will be brought in on a free transfer.
In addition to Walker-Peters, the club have been linked with Lille pair Angel Gomes and Jonathan David.
