West Ham “have enquired” about signing Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha, according to Bild reporter Christian Falk.
The Portuguese international is expected to leave the Allianz Arena just a year after sealing a £47m move to the Bundesliga giants.
Hammers fans on X agree that Palhinha is a good player but some are concerned about his age:

Other Premier League teams are also interested in Palhinha
Falk says that a return to Fulham is a possibility for the player, and there could well be other English teams keen on securing his services.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Palhinha could be offered to the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool, in addition to West Ham.
West Ham are in the market for a midfielder
Palhinha’s pedigree means he would be an attractive target but it remains to be seen if a transfer is possible financially. The Irons are not exactly flush with cash and Bayern would probably have to accept taking a massive loss on the player for him to be a realistic target for Graham Potter’s side.
Regardless of whether they sign Palhinha, though, the club have prioritised strengthening their options in the middle of the park, so even if the 29-year-old doesn’t arrive this summer, an alternative option is likely to be found.
