West Ham Join 2 PL Rivals In ‘Keeping Tabs’ On Serie A Ace Who Scored Winner In Huge Derby At The Weekend

West Ham are weighing up an approach for Juventus winger Francisco Conceicao, according to reports.

Juvefc.com claim that the Hammers are “keeping tabs” on the Portuguese international’s performances, along with two other Premier League teams.

Fulham and Wolves are also said to be watching Conceicao, who is only on loan at Juve from Porto until the end of the season.

AC Milan may enter the fray too, with the Rossoneri now being managed by the player’s father Sergio.

Conceicao’s recent displays have caught the eye

Since moving to Turin last summer, the 22-year-old hasn’t been given that many starting opportunities by head coach Thiago Motta. However, things have begun to change in that regard recently.

Conceicao was named in the eleven for the Derby d’Italia against Inter Milan on Sunday, and he scored the winning goal.

Do West Ham need another right winger?

The fact that Conceicao is left-footed and prefers to play off the right flank means he is unlikely to be a top target for Hammers head coach Graham Potter at the moment. The club already have the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus and Luis Guilherme who can play there.

However, two of those players have been linked with moves away from the London Stadium. Kudus has an £85m release clause which will become active in the next transfer window so there is a chance that the Ghanaian will leave if a team is tempted into paying the requisite fee.

Guilherme, meanwhile, was targeted by Saudi Pro League clubs in January. Considering the Brazilian has been used sparingly by both Julen Lopetegui and Potter, it is safe to assume that his departure will be sanctioned if the club can recoup some (if not all) the £25.5m they paid Palmeiras for the player.
