West Ham Named As Club Who Are ‘Best Placed’ To Sign £52M Brazilian Ace In January

West Ham are one of three teams “best placed” to snap up Real Madrid forward Endrick when the transfer window reopens in the New Year, according to reports in Spain.

Catalan publication Sport claim that the Hammers, Valencia and Real Sociedad are all viable destinations for the Brazilian international.

Endrick missed the start of the season due to a thigh injury, and although he has been named as a substitute for Real’s last five matches in all competitions, he still hasn’t made it off the bench.

Sport report that, in order to get more game time, the 19-year-old could be offloaded on loan in January.

What do fans need to know about Endrick?

Real officially signed the teenager from Palmeiras for a fee worth up to €60m (£52m) in the summer of 2024. During his first campaign at the Bernabeu, he scored 7 goals and provided 1 assist.

Endrick only made 8 starts in total, with the vast majority of those coming in the Copa Del Rey, so there is the potential for him to explode if he gets more minutes on the pitch.

West Ham need to strengthen their forward line

If Endrick is available on loan, then you can appreciate why the Irons would be taking a keen interest in the striker.

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is desperately short of options up front. Niclas Fullkrug has failed to score in 7 appearances so far this season, while Callum Wilson cannot be relied upon to start on a regular basis.

Of course, Endrick’s lack of experience would count against him, and there would be concerns over whether he could cope with the physicality of the Premier League.

However, with limited funds, there won’t be many better forwards available, so West Ham may have to take a gamble on him.
