West Ham are reportedly hoping to secure the services of Liverpool shot-stopper Caoimhin Kelleher.
The Hammers are believed to be weighing up moves for either the Irishman or former Arsenal keeper Aaron Ramsdale.
Both could be available for £20m this summer but supporters on X all agree that Kelleher would be the better choice:
20m all day every day get it done.
Great keeper he'd be for us— WACCA147 (@Wacca1970) April 14, 2025
Yeah that’s something I can get behind

Much better option than Ramsdale

Might not be a priority position for us, but I’d make this happen. Good keeper at a sensible price ⚒️

Yessss bargain

Would be a massive signing for anyone who gets him for 20m. I genuinely believe he can be a top 5 keeper in the league with more play time.

The West Ham target will be sold by Liverpool
Although the 26-year-old’s performances over the last couple of seasons have been widely praised, he hasn’t been able to dislodge Alisson Becker from the no.1 spot.
With Giorgi Mamardashvili also set to arrive from Valencia in July, it will leave Kelleher with even fewer opportunities to start. Unsurprisingly, he is said to be keen on leaving Anfield so he can become first-choice elsewhere
£20m may not be enough to sign Kelleher
When it was reported that Chelsea were interested in Kelleher a few months ago, it was suggested that the goalkeeper’s asking price could be between £35m and £40m.
If Liverpool do demand that much, West Ham may have to move on to cheaper alternatives like Ramsdale. Following their relegation, Southampton will be looking to raise funds.
Along with Tyler Dibling, Ramsdale will be one of their prized assets so a transfer is likely to be sanctioned.
