‘Sullivan Special’ ‘Just No Ambition At All’ Fans Despair As West Ham Line Up Move For Injury-Prone Forward

West Ham are seriously considering signing ex-Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson on a free transfer.

Claret & Hugh report that the 33-year-old would be offered a contract heavily incentivised by performances but there are serious concerns among the fanbase.

Wilson’s agent is Will Salthouse. He reportedly has close connections to David Sullivan and supporters on X believe the forward is being fostered onto head coach Graham Potter by the owner:

Wilson’s terrible injury record

You would think that the England international would have plenty of suitors after becoming a free agent but he has suffered from a series of fitness issues over the past couple of years.

Wilson started only 3 games last season, having picked up back and hamstring injuries. In the campaign prior, he had spent time on the sidelines with hamstring, calf and chest problems.

Are West Ham looking at alternatives?

It does look like the Irons are scouring the market for cost-effective solutions to strengthen their numbers up front. In addition to Wilson, Inter Milan’s Mehdi Taremi and ex-AC Milan forward Luka Jovic have also been linked.

There is also a longstanding interest in former Everton player Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but insider source ExWHUEmployee has insisted that the club would not consider signing the 28-year-old unless the situation became desperate. However, he did say the same about Wilson.

In other news, West Ham have been linked with signing a midfielder with a £9m release clause
