Nuno Is “Desperate” To Land Forward Who Could Arrive At West Ham “Early” Next Month

West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo is “desperate” to bring Fulham forward Adama Traore to the London Stadium, according to ExWHUEmployee.

Writing on The West Ham Way Patreon (quotes via their website), the insider said there is confidence that a deal can be agreed to sign the Spaniard in “early” January:

“A player who appears most likely to sign for the club at this stage is Adama Traore of Fulham. The manager is desperate to bring him across the capital, and it is thought that with the Spanish international out of contract in the summer, West Ham should be able to agree a reasonable fee within the coming days.”

“Nuno is keen to try and get this signing done as soon as possible, and it is thought that Fulham are prepared to listen to offers. The club will hope to complete this early in the window.”

Nuno wants to be reunited with Traore

The winger moved to Wolves in 2018, not long after Nuno became manager of the Midlands club. The pair spent three years together at Molineux.

Traore joined the season after Wolves’ promotion to the Premier League, making 194 appearances in total before he left for Fulham on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.

West Ham are moving ahead with a bid

ExWHUEmployee is not the only reliable source that has said that the Irons are stepping up their attempts to sign Traore.

Writing for GiveMeSport, journalist Ben Jacobs said the club have already made “an initial approach” for the 29-year-old.

As mentioned, Traore only has six months left on his contract, so Fulham are not expected to stand in his way of leaving Craven Cottage during the January transfer window if they receive a satisfactory offer.
