‘Terrible News’ ‘Don’t Quite Understand The Hate’ Fans React As West Ham Reportedly Seal £7M+ A Year Contract

West Ham have extended their agreement with kit manufacturer Umbro, according to the Claret & Hugh.

The Hammers agreed a new deal with the American-owned British firm last year but this extension is set to continue the relationship until 2026 at the very least, and it will be worth more than £7m a year.

There has been a mixed reaction to the news on X. Some fans were hoping for a switch to Nike or Adidas while others are happy with Umbro, after making a well-received home shirt this season:

Umbro have not made the best kits for West Ham

While the manufacturer have a long association with the Irons (stretching all the way back to 2015), many supporters have not been impressed by the designs they have come up with.

This campaign’s home jersey is an exception, as it has received broadly good feedback, but it appears that hopes of a change in supplier have been dashed for the short to mid-term.

When will we know what the 25/26 shirts will look like?

It’s generally the case that leaks for the new designs come out nearer the end of the year ahead of a release the following June/July.

With it now looking like Umbro will extend their agreement with West Ham, fans will hope that the manufacturer can emulate the success of this season‘s home shirt.
