3) Start Soungoutou Magassa

Despite being a fully fledged France international, Potter only gave the midfielder two substitute appearances prior to his sacking.

Accruing caps for France’s Under 21s is no mean feat, and Magassa clearly has ability. It would be a shock if the 21-year-old doesn’t start against Everton.

The holding midfield position has been an issue for quite some time, and Magassa deserves a run in the side to stake his claim to become a regular starter.

4) Drop James Ward-Prowse

The 30-year-old has started all six of West Ham’s fixtures this campaign, and very few supporters can understand why. He has contributed very little.

Ward-Prowse should be dropped to the bench as part of Nuno’s reshuffle in the middle of the park.

A midfield three of Magassa, Mateus Fernandes and Lucas Paqueta should be the way to go.
