West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus’s falling out with head coach Julen Lopetegui has been the main topic of discussion among supporters since the story became public earlier this week.
A few have debated whether the player has a future at the London Stadium, while others have questioned whether Lopetegui has already lost the dressing room.
Some have been quick to point out that even the best players and managers can have disagreements over substitutions, with one X account citing an incident last season between Liverpool’s Mo Salah and Jurgen Klopp. Many agreed that the Kudus situation shouldn’t be blown out of proportion:
It’s how he responds, thats all that matters now. In years gone by under managers like Ferguson & Clough he would’ve kicked his last ball

It’s good he is angry at being subbed. All footballers should be. Also lop subbing him shows no one is bigger than the club. Hopefully they all put a shift in on Saturday and it’s all forgotten ⚒️⚒️

The players and management team are struggling right now. Of course they will get frustrated.
And Kudus, we already know he hates losing and he will graft hard to put things right so will hate being taken off.

At least Lopetegui is making changes and clearly had a positive impact on the result.

Kudus is lucky he didn’t have a ‘disagreement’ with Johnny Hartson in training 😂. This will all be forgotten when we start turning performances into points.

Kudus hasn’t helped himself
The forward prompted more speculation about his future when he was pictured at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night watching Arsenal play Paris Saint-Germain.
It’s likely that Kudus was just there supporting his Ghanaian international teammate Thomas Partey but, even so, it would probably have been best if he had kept his head down this week.
All will be forgotten if he scores for West Ham on Saturday
There will be more discussion if Kudus is left on the bench by Lopetegui when the Irons take on Ipswich in their next fixture.
However, if he does start, you can guarantee he will be fired up. Nothing more will be said about the incident against Brentford if he gets on the scoresheet.
