“This Might Be A Nervy One” – Harry Redknapp Predicts The Result As West Ham Play Arsenal

Ex-West Ham manager Harry Redknapp is expecting his former club to suffer a narrow defeat to Arsenal this weekend.

Writing for football betting site BetVictor, Redknapp said that he was impressed with the Hammers’ victory last time out but he feels that their opponents on Saturday will just have too much for them:

“This should be a good one. I didn’t see West Ham’s win at Newcastle coming, that was a big surprise. I thought West Ham were superb defensively and always posed a threat on the break, Jarrod Bowen was superb.”

“Arsenal look like they’ve turned a corner and arrive here fresh off that brilliant performance in Portugal. Liverpool obviously have a healthy lead but Arsenal are still right in this title race, particularly with Martin Odegaard now fully fit. I think Arsenal will edge this, but it might be a nervy one.”

What score has Redknapp predicted?

The former Hammers boss is expecting the Gunners to win 2-1, which will be a big disappointment for home fans who will be hoping for another three points at the London Stadium.

Julen Lopetegui’s side need to build some momentum after beating the Magpies earlier this week and a setback in the London derby would not be welcomed.

West Ham v Arsenal team news

Lopetegui has ruled out Niclas Fullkrug from making his comeback on Saturday evening, The German international has not played for the Irons since the end of August due to an Achilles tendon injury. However, there is now believed to be light at the end of the tunnel with a return pencilled in for the Wolves game next month.

Jean-Clair Todibo remains a doubt for the match after being forced off during the victory over Newcastle, while Mohammed Kudus is still suspended. Arsenal will be without Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu, while they are sweating on the fitness of Gabriel.
