West Ham head coach Graham Potter will take charge of his first Premier League game when the Hammers face Fulham on Tuesday night.
While the London club are comfortably above the relegation zone, Potter’s task will be to improve results and guide them into the top 10 over the course of the next 18 games.
Based on what has been reported, his future at the club beyond this season depends on him meeting certain performance targets. Beating Fulham at the London Stadium would be a good start.
The Cottagers have not lost in the league since being thrashed at home by Wolves in late November, but they have also drawn six times during that period. They are clearly hard to beat and Potter will need to get his team selection right.
He could be without five players. Jean Clair Todibo and Emerson Palmieri are both doubts, while Lukasz Fabianski (concussion) is unavailable. Captain Jarrod Bowen (foot) and Michail Antonio (broken leg) are long-term absentees.
West Ham’s predicted XI to face Fulham
Areola, Coufal, Mavropanos, Kilman, Wan-Bissaka, Soucek, Alvarez, Paqueta, Kudus, Fullkrug, Summerville
Fulham boss Marco Silva will be without the likes of Kenny Tete (knee), Reiss Nelson (thigh) and Harrison Reed (thigh) due to injury but Sander Berge is expected to be available.
Fulham’s Predicted XI
Leno, Castagne, Diop, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson, Lukic, Berge, Iwobi, Jimenez, Smith Rowe
Where to watch West Ham vs. Fulham
The fixture is a live game in the UK with TNT Sports having all 10 fixtures in matchday 21 as part of their TV coverage.
If you don’t have access, there are plenty of other ways you can entertain yourself, such as placing bets at Pay by Phone casinos in the UK, before watching the highlights on Sky Sports’ YouTube channel following the game. You can also see all the Premier League goals on BBC’s midweek Match of the Day.
Hammers supporters will be keenly anticipating the game as they hope for a fresh start under a new manager. Potter is known for playing an attractive brand of football which is more in keeping with the values of the club, in stark contrast to predecessor Julen Lopetegui.
Whether he will be able to establish his philosophy and get results on the board straight away, we shall have to wait and see, but securing the three points in his first league fixture is all Potter will be thinking about for now.
