Chelsea V West Ham: Match Preview, Predicted XI And Bettings Odds

West Ham could leapfrog Chelsea in the Premier League table if they beat the Blues at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

However, the club’s chances of finishing in the European places look rather slim. They are four points adrift of 7th-place Newcastle, having played a game more, while Sunday’s opponents are also two points ahead.

David Moyes‘ side need to win all three remaining fixtures and hope that their closest rivals slip up more than once in the closing weeks of the campaign.

In terms of team news, Konstantinos Mavropanos is expected to face a late fitness test, having missed the last three matches versus Bayer Leverkusen, Crystal Palace and Liverpool. Fellow centre-back Nayef Aguerd is currently sidelined with an ankle injury and he is a major doubt for the Chelsea fixture. Youngster George Earthy could return following a concussion.

West Ham’s predicted XI to face Chelsea

Areola, Coufal, Zouma, Ogbonna, Emerson, Soucek, Alvarez, Paqueta, Bowen, Antonio, Kudus

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has a very lengthy injury list to contend with. Levi Colwill (toe) and Christopher Nkunku (hamstring) are both back in full training so they could be named in the matchday squad. Raheem Sterling (back), Robert Sanchez (knee), Reece James and Lesley Ugochukwu (both hamstring) are nearing their comebacks but they remain doubts for the weekend.

Axel Disasi (knock), Carney Chukwuemeka (knee), Thiago Silva (groin), Ben Chilwell (knee), Enzo Fernandez (hernia), Malo Gusto (knee), Romeo Lavia (thigh) and Wesley Fofana (ACL) are all on the treatment table.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI:

Petrovic, Gilchrist, Chalobah, Badiashile, Cucurella, Caicedo, Palmer, Gallagher, Madueke, Jackson, Mudryk
