‘Starting To Get Suspect Now’ ‘Seems Odd’ Fans React As Potter Confirms West Ham Star Will Miss 3rd Game In A Row

West Ham head coach Graham Potter has confirmed that Aaron Wan-Bissaka won’t be in the matchday squad for the Everton match on Monday due to a stomach bug.

It is a third match in a row that the former Man United player has been absent due to illness.

Some fans on X believe there is more to this situation than meets the eye, with a few suspecting a fallout between Wan-Bissaka and Potter:

When did Wan-Bissaka last play for his club?

The 27-year-old’s last appearance for the Hammers came against Chelsea during the 5-1 defeat back in August. He was an unused substitute for the subsequent 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, with Kyle Walker-Peters taking his place in the starting lineup.

Since then, Wan-Bissaka has missed the defeats to Tottenham and Crystal Palace, having not been named in the squad for either fixture.

There’s a likelier explanation that West Ham fans are overlooking

Wan-Bissaka switched his allegiance to the Democratic Republic of Congo earlier this year, and he played his first two matches during the last international break.

The fullback started the World Cup qualifiers against South Sudan and Senegal. There is a good chance that he contracted a nasty bug while away with his country.
