West Ham and Everton are both interested in signing Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard, according to reports in the English media.
The Belgian’s two and a half year stay at the Bernabeu has been blighted with injuries and he has been told that he can leave the La Liga club in the January transfer window.
Real spent in excess of £100m on Hazard but it is now thought that they would be willing to part ways with the 30-year-old for only £21m next month.
Before leaving Chelsea in 2019, the Belgian international vowed he would not play for another English club in his career and that statement could be put to the test by the Hammers.
With Hazard deemed surplus of requirements, and having played only seven minutes of football since October, the winger may well have to consider his options. Whether he’d be open to a switch to West Ham, though, we shall have to wait and see.
