West Ham’s game against Manchester United this weekend will come “too soon” for Niclas Fullkrug, according to The Sun.
The English tabloid claims that the German international will travel to Germany for injections that will aid his recovery from injury.
Supporters on X are frustrated that Fullkrug has been sidelined for so long and some fear the club will be lumbered with another injury-prone player:

Should be asking for the clubs money back, we’ve had enough issues with Antonio, ing’s who can’t score goals, what is it about us we buy these players in good faith and then they become awful.

We would of been better off re-signing Andy Carroll, he’s knocking goals in – in the French National 2 league 😜

The next excuse will be that he needs bedding in! Another three weeks.

Fullkrug has been out for over a month
The 31-year-old was initially estimated to return to action within a few weeks, after pulling out of international duty with Germany in mid-September.
However, it looks like Fullkrug could now be on the sidelines for over double the amount of time due to complications in his recovery.
The striker is suffering from Achilles tendinitis, which means he has inflammation in the muscle between his calf and heel.
Which West Ham fixture could the forward return for?
If Fullkrug does miss the Manchester United game, the hope is that the German will be available for the subsequent match versus Nottingham Forest a week on Saturday.
With the Hammers not in Europe and having been knocked out of the Carabao Cup, there are not many fixtures between now and the next international break. After Forest, they host Everton at home on November 9th before having a two-week gap prior to the Newcastle game.
