West Ham striker Niclas Fullkrug is facing an extended spell on the sidelines after sustaining a thigh injury.
It is believed the German international picked up the problem after the defeat to Arsenal last week.
Fullkrug has had an awful fitness record since arriving at the London Stadium last year, and supporters on X have lost their patience with the forward:
Give him a pay out and let him go, waste of a squad place

Good thing we bought a fit, competent striker in the summer

Fullkrug’s shocking injury history
The 32-year-old has been on the treatment table for 181 days and counting since the Hammers snapped him up from Borussia Dortmund for £27m in August 2024.
During his time at the London Stadium, Fullkrug has missed 28 matches for both club and country, and he is now set to be absent for even more fixtures.
How many West Ham games could the striker miss?
It is unlikely that Fullkrug will play before the next international break in November, although it must be emphasised that the Irons have not yet provided an estimate on when he could return to first-team action.
There are four matches between now and the middle of next month. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side face Brentford at home next Monday. They then have two away fixtures against Leeds and Newcastle.
The fourth and final game prior to the November internationals is at home to Burnley on Saturday, November 8th.
