West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui has confirmed that Carlos Soler was forced off at half-time during the 1-0 win over Southampton due to injury.
The Spanish international did not come out after the interval at St Mary’s and, speaking in his post-match press conference, Lopetegui said:
“We had one problem with Carlos Soler, too, in the half, so we had to change him [at half-time], so I think that we had a lot of problems today.”
It’s not clear whether Soler has suffered a serious issue or whether it is simply a minor knock but he is now a major doubt for the Hammers’ next match.
