West Ham No.1 Alphonse Areola has been pictured training with France’s squad ahead of their Nations League fixtures against Italy and Belgium.
The 31-year-old had to be substituted at half-time during the Hammers’ 3-1 defeat to Manchester City last weekend.
Speaking after the match, head coach Julen Lopetegui confirmed that Areola had sustained a back injury.
However, the goalkeeper did not withdraw from the France squad, which suggested that the problem wasn’t that serious. He is expected to be available for West Ham’s next game after the international break.
