Arsenal Vs West Ham Team News: 5 Players Already Ruled Out And 2 Doubts

West Ham are sweating over the fitness of Aaron Wan-Bissaka ahead of the match against Arsenal on Saturday.

The former Manchester United defender has missed the last 3 fixtures against Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Everton due to a stomach bug.

Wan-Bissaka received his first caps for the Democratic Republic of Congo during the last international break and it’s possible that he picked up an illness whilst away with his country.

The 27-year-old remains a doubt for the trip to the Emirates this weekend.

Nuno will be without another West Ham player due to suspension

New head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has not been able to call upon Tomas Soucek so far, as he is serving a three-game ban following his red card against Spurs last month.

The Czech international will serve the final match of his suspension versus Arsenal and he will return for the fixture against Brentford on October 20th.

Arsenal injury news

Gabriel was substituted during the Gunners’ 2-0 win over Olympiacos on Wednesday night. The Brazilian international picked up a shoulder problem and he was replaced by Cristhian Mosquera for the final 15 minutes. The extent of the injury is not known, but he is a doubt for Saturday’s game.

Manager Mikel Arteta will also be without four other players. Piero Hincapie has not featured since making his debut as a late substitute against Athletic Club. The defender has a groin issue that has kept him out for the last four matches versus Manchester City, Port Vale, Newcastle and Olympiacos.

Kai Havertz is not expected to be available for the short to medium term, having undergone an operation on his knee following the opening day win over Manchester United. Noni Madueke is also sidelined with a knee problem. He was substituted at half-time during the 1-1 draw against Man City and could be out of contention for up to six weeks.

Gabriel Jesus, meanwhile, may not return to action until December or January as he continues his lengthy recovery from an ACL injury.
