£30M Rated Chelsea Star ‘Open’ To Joining Another PL Club As West Ham Contemplate Approach

West Ham target Trevoh Chalobah is “open” to joining another Premier League team after being frozen out by Chelsea, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Writing in his Daily Briefing column, Romano said that the 25-year-old will take some time before making a decision on his future but he is considering his options:

“Chelsea are prepared to sell Chalobah for a fee in the region of £30m. He’s leaving this summer for sure, and is open to clubs in both the Premier League and other leagues.”

“Nothing is imminent now – from what I heard he wants to take his time to consider all the options available.”

West Ham could face competition from six other clubs

After being left out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the United States, teams from across Europe have been alerted to Chalobah’s availability.

In addition to the Hammers, it is believed that Newcastle, Manchester United, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are considering whether to table a bid for the defender.

Chalobah is not the only centre-back being targeted

Despite splashing out £40m to recruit Max Kilman from Wolves, it is believed that West Ham technical director Tim Steidten is hoping to add further reinforcements in the middle of defence.

A loan bid was made for Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo but the Frenchman turned down the move as he wants to join Juventus instead.

Steidten has also considered tabling an offer for AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori but the Rossoneri are asking for too much money. Reports in the Italian media suggest that his asking price is €40m (£34m).

Red Bull Salzburg’s Oumar Solet is another name that may be looked at. The 24-year-old has less than a year left on his contract and he could be available for around €12m (£10m).
