West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus says he is happy with how his first season at the London Stadium has gone.
The Ghanaian international joined from Ajax in the summer for £38m and, assessing his performances since arriving in English football, Kudus said:
“It’s my first season but the staff, the coaches and the other players, everyone around the club, has really helped me to settle in well. Big credit to myself as well for believing in myself and putting in the effort day in, day out. It can only get better. I’m still far off how I see myself performing in this league, but it’s good to get the first season under my belt. I have a long way to go and there’s more stuff to come.”
Kudus scored his 14th West Ham goal on the final day against Manchester City, with a spectacular overhead kick. He is clearly a very talented player and fans on X are hoping to keep hold of him for the long term:

There is a release clause in Kudus’s contract
It is believed that the 23-year-old does have a buyout fee worth £85m, which is a similar figure to the one that his teammate Lucas Paqueta has.
However, there is one important difference between the two clauses. Reports suggest that Kudus’s one only becomes active next summer.
West Ham will have to fend off potential suitors
Even if the release fee can’t be triggered now, though, Kudus could still attract interest from other Premier League clubs.
The likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all said to be keeping close tabs on the Ghanaian’s situation.
