“There Will Be More Than One Team” – Agent Drops Transfer Hint As West Ham Are Linked With Paraguayan Ace

West Ham transfer target Julio Enciso will have “more than one team” chasing him if he decides to leave Brighton, his agent has claimed.

The Paraguayan international has been linked with a move to the Hammers in the Spanish media over the past week. Asked about the player’s future by Versus Radio, his representative Pedro Aldave said:

“I was upset by the news that many people were saying he wasn’t playing and was going somewhere else. He may not play, but that happens at all clubs.”

“It’s more than clear that they [other clubs] will follow Julio Enciso and, if there is an opportunity [to leave Brighton], there will be more than one team that will want to sign him.”

Enciso has not played a lot of football this season

New Seagulls head coach Fabian Hurzeler has used the midfielder sparingly, giving him just 39 minutes of action in the Premier League, and that has fed speculation about his future.

However, Aldave did claim that Enciso had injury problems heading into the campaign which needs to be considered as a mitigating factor. It should also be pointed out that Hurzeler did start the Paraguayan in two Carabao Cup ties.

He is a big star in Paraguay

Despite still only being 20 years of age, Enciso is seen as his country’s brightest star. His lack of game time for Brighton has, therefore, been a big talking point but Aldave says the player will have to adapt:

“He will have to get used to the pressure from the public and the media, he has to know that there will be criticism. There will be those who like it and those who don’t, it’s part of the game.”

“He always had support from the Paraguayan national team, but being burdened with pressure at 20 years old means knowing that you are overexerting yourself. He likes to win, he is a winner. He has to grow, he’s still very young. Something is happening to him all the time, whether he plays or not, whether he gets injured or not, it can’t be all pressure that ends up hurting him.”

Whether that pressure to play will subsequently lead to him leaving Brighton for West Ham or another team in the New Year, we shall have to wait and see.
