West Ham transfer target Jhon Duran has signed a new “long term” contract with Aston Villa which includes an “important salary rise”, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Writing on his X account, Romano said that the Colombian international has committed his future to the Villans, following failed moves to both the Hammers and Chelsea during the last transfer window:

Duran has put pen to paper on a new deal keeping him at Villa Park until the end of the 2029/30 season.
West Ham had several bids rejected for the striker
It is believed that the Irons tabled more than one offer for the 20-year-old in the summer. One proposal is said to have been worth £30m plus Lewis Orford.
However, the London club eventually withdrew from talks, believing that Villa were demanding too much money (their asking price was reportedly £50m).
West Ham ultimately decided to bring in Nicolas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund instead for £27m, although the German has had a tough start to his career at the London Stadium due to injury.
Duran has been praised after a phenomenal start to the campaign
TalkSPORT pundit Danny Murphy has described the Colombian as “deadly” after scoring 6 goals in just 324 minutes of action so far this season.
West Ham fans have already expressed their regret at not securing Duran’s service following his outstanding form, and the new contract probably makes any future offer for the player very unlikely, at least in the short term.
