West Ham have had a £25m bid rejected for Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo, according to The Guardian.
It is believed that Todibo’s club are holding out for around £40m to sell him this summer, which is a figure that the Hammers are not currently prepared to pay.
The London club are said to rate Wolves’ Max Kilman higher than Todibo but fans on X have encouraged them to go back in for the Frenchman instead:

He’s better than Kilman and around the same price tag maybe still cheaper. I’d rather spend the money in him. I’m not player/talent evaluator though 🤷♂️

West Ham were testing the waters with Todibo
After the centre-back’s move to Manchester United collapsed due to UEFA rules, the Irons tried their luck by bidding below his market value.
Whether they will revisit the deal in the future probably depends on what happens with Kilman.
What is the current state of play on the Kilman deal?
West Ham have had several bids knocked back for the 27-year-old, with Wolves said to be demanding a fee in the region of £45m.
It’s a lot of money for the centre-half but manager Julen Lopetegui is known to be a big fan of the player. The Spaniard is clearly the one pressing for the transfer to go ahead. Based on the comments from supporters, though, they are nowhere near as keen.
