Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen this summer.
The Magpies believe it may take as much as £70m to secure the England international’s signature but Hammers supporters on X don’t think the club will make him available for sale at any price:
He’s not going anywhere. He will stay and become a West Ham legend, I’m talking statue legend!

More chance of them signing Jim Bowen

I also don’t think he would want to go, if we have a poor season this year, perhaps but I think he loves it here.

Newcastle don’t have the funds to sign the player
One of the reasons why a bid from Magpies seems unlikely is due to the fact that the club are under pressure to raise money to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules
Eddie Howe’s side would probably have to sell a key member of their squad, such as Bruno Guimaraes, in order to bid for Bowen. That doesn’t seem likely to happen at the moment, with reports suggesting that they want to keep hold of the Brazilian.
Bowen is committed to West Ham
The winger only signed a new contract with the Irons back in October, keeping him at the London Stadium until the summer of 2030.
That is not something you would do if you were angling for a move away from the club. Of course, circumstances do change but, with Newcastle not having qualified for Europe next season (as things stand), there is no real incentive for Bowen to make the switch to St James’ Park anyway.
